Charging Structure

Red Atlas has the flexibility to allow the creation of a dynamic charging structure reflective of the way you want to manage your airport. Landing fees can be charged at a flat rate or levied upon aircraft depending on their weight, type, whether they are rotary or fixed-wing and the number of engines. Charges can also be specified according to the time of day and day of the week.
Other movement charges such as “Touch and goes”, “go-arounds” and instrument approaches can also be applied according to the same scale.

Similarly parking can charged according to weight and type of aircraft, and the location of the allocated parking space. Parking can be charged on hourly, daily, weekly or monthly rates.

Home-based aircraft can have a discount applied against charges such as landing, parking and fuel, and further discounts can also be applied to specific customers, companies or types of aircraft if you wish.

You will also be able to specify prices per litre for aviation fuel (such as Jet A1 and AVGAS), and apply discounts for home-based aircraft or specific customers, companies or aircraft types. For example; if you want to encourage owners of Battle of Britain aircraft to fly to your airport, when such an aircraft arrived at the airport you could apply a discount to its landing and / or fuel charges. This can also apply if you want to offer discounts to certain manufacturers of aircraft (if for example a parts or service supplier for these aircraft are located near the airport), or to specific customers. If an airport employs the use of the CAA G-INFO database, they will be able to look-up aircraft details such as manufacturer, year built and owner.
Discounts can also easily be applied to oil and aviation fuel based upon amount up-lifted or payment methods.

For those airports wishing to apply discounts for aircraft employing environmentally-friendly measures such as diesel engines, silencers, hush-kits or noise-reducing propellers; the flexibility to do this is also inherent within Red Atlas.

The above also applies to other aircraft related charges, such as passenger services, instrument approaches, training flights, out-of-hours ATC and Fire Crew cover.

Rates for airport-based services such as office rent, water, electricity, equipment hire and so on can also be administered in the same way.
